The land adjoins to Girraween National Park and the proposed Scotney Nature Refuge (also owned and currently offered for sale by the Trust) and includes a 2.5 hectare area of cleared land suitable for a domestic residence.
Conservation values: The land contains an array of significant conservation values and geological features including:
- Eucalyptus blakelyi grassy woodland or open-forest +/- E. conica +/- E. bridgesiana +/- E. melliodora on Cainozoic alluvial plains described as endangered regional ecosystem 13.3.1
- Shrubland (heath)on Mesozoic to Proterozoic igneous rocks described as of concern regional ecosystem 13.12.6
- Known habitat for the rare Common Wombat Vombatus ursinus and Superb Lyrebird Menura novaehollandiae and rare plant species including Hakea macrorrhyncha;
- Eucalyptus andrewsii, E. youmanii, E. prava, Angophora floribunda, Callitris endlicheri shrubby woodland or open-forest on Mesozoic to Proterozoic igneous rocks described as not of concern regional ecosystem 13.12.2;
- Suitable habitat for the vulnerable brush-tailed rock-wallaby Petrogale penicillata and spotted-tailed quoll (southern subspecies) Dasyurus maculatus maculatus; and
- Giant granite boulders, intermittent waterfalls, rock pools and steep cliffs.
